Needle In the Vein

Where do you go when you leave here Do you escape to that familiar haven in your brain One of no more suffering One of no more pain No memory of where you have been in the real world Or of things you may have done There is blood on your clothes Oblivious to whether you have hurt someone Empty black spaces in your mind What has occurred you are unsure Another needle into already collapsed thin veins So escape is once again assured
