You've missed a bit, there on your chin. Thin reeds of river grass and fish— cheeks-deep in roe, mud-covered twin, you've missed a bit. Let's bumble on to spawning's pitch eat salmon-seasoned trout—with quince, furs drenched in entrails glazey drip... I long forgave your glutton sin, big Grizz, I swear there is no hitch, just time enough, to feast with friends you've missed a bit.

Thanks, Andrea. Tom comment-shamed me in the other version where the bears are brawling, so I gave breaking bread a chance :D I was going for a funny take but when I reread it now, it pulls a little sad at the end. Thanks again for taking the time to read my work.

Haha - I keep fiddling with it though, Heidi :O And I'm still over by a syllable in the penultimate line and not all of my iambs are tetrams, but I think I've taken it as far as I'm able/willing. They're a lot of fun to play with. Thanks so much for showing it some love.
