Difference
I remember my childhood vision of the world
How I changed to all things to suit my need
I even taught my eleven chickens how to swim
Drowning them in my careless blind proceed
To happiness. I had no intentions to smother them
They just did not take to the diving process
And submerging them under clothes was a stratagem
I will never try again
I will never try again
Not all my glory is the other man’s happiness.
Let the world be different, the trees when drinking light
Drink not all the waves, and birds singing sweetly
Blend a litany of varied notes, and I abroad found delight
From architectures telling their cultural history.
Each culture cradles tongue and attitude to success
For the environment keeling them against it winds.
Each people design differently a democratic process
That brought them into today
That brought them into today
Since childhood then, I fit no more chickens with my designs.
