Didn't Skip a Beat
the sun still shines outside my window
the world never paused
it didn't skip a beat
how cold how strange
so totally bizarre
like the unending pull of tides
the universe just carries on
immune to judgments and retorts
placid and nonchalant
zen ~
life comes life goes
breath in breath out
nothing lasts forever
and for now
the sun continues to
shine outside my window
