Didactic Food
Didactic Food
I'm a hard core foodie!
Come what may,
Down it goes my gullet!
Oh no! I don't gormandize,
It's just that-
Well, you may say-
My eyes can't stop feasting
And my right hand is not
In control of the left hand.
And how else can my tongue
Savour the delights within my eyesight,
If the hand doesn't reach out
With all its might?
My breakfast-
I wish I had three breakfasts
Or, maybe, more all day-
Only of pancakes-
One layer on another and another,
And the trays could keep on coming,
Bananas and cream or-
Just with fruit ice cream.
Mmmmm, honey drooling
To all its corners
Is also pretty fine.
Grandma once said
Have it light with
Lemon and sugar
When the stomach
Is awfully tight.
So, I supposed
A six layered pancake
Lemony and lemon
Refreshed my burning appetite.
The legs don't tire,
The hands all wired
The pan on the gas
With quickening fire
Sprayed with oil
Batter poured
Tastebuds alive
With tossing it in air
Fluffed and puffed
Smiles to be seen
Miles and milestones away
Cinnamon and powdered sugar
Its heavenly aroma
Fills the corridors.
Its good for my memory
And my dancing jelly-belly.
We figure conscious women
Have heard our mothers warn,
To keep us in good shape,
Let pancakes be garnished
With fruits and appetisers.
Their weight for sure,
Will allow you to add,
A little more of these
Fluffed up caky delights.
