Did You Know
i was desolated and consumed
in ardent remorse-
then there was you...
~armor brightly shining~
a sunburst star fading in the
western sky in the darkest
depth grazing night-
for you are my constant
constellation,
(the entirety of my sight)
i am fearless in your arms-
wrapped up in chiffon
and kept safe and warm
by no one but…
YOU
comfort ascended and my woe
apprehended and no longer
did i have to carry burdens of
hopelessness
(a new heart contended)
in a cave of love’s astounding
abyss
leave me b r e a t h l e s s -
resound my core and ask for more
breathe with me so that we
may become one,
MY BELOVED-
once again
dusk wears his furtive smile,
becoming what we thought
we may be one day,
nights of wonder and passion,
trees become ashen;
(only us and us alone)
for strength did prevail and
we set sail toward the comfort
of our safe haven-
(a home...not a house)
it has always been you ~ i've been attracted to~
for you rescued me...
and never even knew
