Did You Ever Really See a Snowflake?
Crystallized in sheer vibrancy
Dazzling intricate patterns that
Are gazed upon and delightedly
Tasted on salty tongue as they
Drift and sparkle the mountaintops
Each one a work of art by nature
A phenomenon of the heavens
Steadily floating downward to earth
Forming a pristine wonderland
Just for awhile we are lost inside
This stunning display of Winter's bounty
Blanketing the world in grace and beauty
What joys are these that bring to us
A chance for a romantic ride through
The park or perhaps a winding country road
Children are shouting out with total glee
Building up funny men with carrot noses
Dashing down a knobby hill in a saucer
Snowflake you are quite rare and distinct
Such amazing and breathtaking wonderment!
None of you the same, each one glazing
The evergreens with the promise of more
And thus it continues through the chilly days
Till Madam Spring comes to chase you away again
