Diamonds
Diamonds sparkled on waters of blue
My dreams sparkled, waiting to come true
A skip, a jump, a turn and then around
Seeking the open doors to be found
The sun beats down relentlessly hot,
heating up memories on the spot
Walking along in a bit of culture shock,
trying to forget a black flower or rock
I'd ather think about the diamonds I see,
than to think about all that's happened to me
So I gaze at the ocean as I feel the sand
I count the miles I have traveled this land
For now the palms stand tall and still,
as I look above for my purpose to fulfill
There comes a time when things are clear
What matters the most begins to appear
