Dewdrops
I smell the dewdrops on your silken hair
touch the shapely curves of many years
lick the taste of salty oceans from your lips
feel forest needles spike essence of trust
hear the words unspoken leave your soul
see love embrace an aura of foreverness
awareness consciousness perceptions dance
to the tune of mindful poetry beholding
short lasting moments eternity sweet vibes
when I am old and cataracts distort my eyes
wild waters’ currents bring me back to shore
the coastline smooth while tides are turning
I see you whispering words and sacred vows
take your hand to cradle life lines’ palms
and rest in satin sheets for another journey
grateful for the dewdrops of your incarnation
