Dew Drops

Cold dew drops cover the grass
Brisk air lingers, like feelings around
Some things seem to hold no class
Bare trees are all to be found
Fallen leaves like ripped paper
Lay in pieces on the ground
Old thoughts begin to taper
When suddenly the sun shines
Golden rising above distant trees
I hold onto only what is mine
In this silent moment, before it flees
