Destiny!
The cup tip-peth over and the wells run dry
No more tears in these weary eyes
I’ve soul searched and reached as far down as I could
Finding absolutely nothing good
The bowls of the underworld are scary indeed
In the fetal, protection in need
Why have I been cast so far from all
A bottomless pit and an eternal fall
No matter the feel from the harsh impact
Just hopes of getting back
The stench singes nostril hairs
The heart pounds stimulated by fabricated fears
Motionless hoping for the worst to pass
Imaging endless this will last
God why have you forsaken me
How could this possibly be
I’ve done all that you have asked and monumentally more
This isn’t what I was asking for
Revolutionary, Civil, World, Foreign Wars and Conflicts
All to be repaid with this shame!
Something has got to give
Like this no one can live
I’m defeated; beat; I must succumb
It’s not warranted even for the lowest scum
Why I ask, answer me
Why have you forsaken me?
Every time I think I’m done
Just when I thought the fight is won
You abandon me
To fend for myself – no security
I’ve cried, I’ve begged, I’ve pleaded Oh Lord
I’ve done everything on my on accord
Sacrifice after sacrifice I’ve given it fully
Now I’m praying please save me
What’s this bright beacon of light
Who’s this before my sight
The glow, my eyes, I can not see
“Come my Son! Come with me!”
Forsaken a faithful warrior, never my Son!
Your tasks are complete; your deed is done.
I needed you to touch many of lives
And that you have achieved
And for your actions I am pleased
Your tears I’ve used to cleanse the soul
Of those not strong enough to behold
The power that which has been bestowed upon you
To withstand the sacrifices you’ve been through
“Come my Son! Take my hand”
For you are of my flesh, “RISE” I command
You’ve suffered unbearably in your mind
But I’ll never over task of any kind
Thank you for your belief in me
Now enjoy your heavenly destiny!!!
