Destined To Win
Life did teach her believe in unwavering destiny, merciless fate,
Although she strongly denied to.
She aspired to be her own resolute person,
Confident in her own inner strength,
Choose her own path,
Follow her own dream.
A sheltered, protected life - a cozy, comfortable home,
A caring, reassuring family - everything seemed pristine,
Perfect, impeccable and planned,
God-gifted, and intended,
No thorns from the wild bushes pricked her dainty toes,
Life was a bed of Roses!
Destiny smiled at her arrogance!
No longer her path felt smooth, and unhindered!
The gorgeous flowers gradually withered,
Vibrant petals lost their lustre, slowly descended on the harsh floor,
delightful song-birds flew away to an unknown destination,
Didn’t return.
But... she didn’t bend, she didn’t stumble, she didn’t diminish.
Her ardent will gave her the immense power to stand tall,
May be not the scented, fragrant flowers she would smell for ever,
May be not the melodious, harmonious birdsongs she would hear in all seasons,
But what didn’t fail her,
Was the indomitable power which emanated from within.
She conquered destiny by reaching the summit
in the world of supremacy of a privileged group -
She changed the course of the meandering river,
Because she watched numerous women surrendering to what they believed their fate,
And her promise to them -
To prove otherwise.
