Despair of Humankind

Scars are on the ozone
The writings in the sky
The smoke signals ain’t good
Spelling disaster for mankind
The Oceans are full of litter
Forests put under the plough
Mother nature’s left crying
At the antics of mankind
You see it on the tele
Read it in the news
Then you nip off to McDonald’s
In your nitrogen dioxide spewing car
Chatting while you’re driving
About a holiday in a far off land
Big business is making profits
Paying Politian’s to stay quiet
You live your life like nothing changed
I despair of humankind.
