Despair

He brought her purple tulips at 10:17. I smiled and turned to my three Kiwi’s Which I had captured yesterday While hunting out in cyberspace. Funny little birds. I saw one on tv once when I was young, It was yellow and could run Like the wind. So fast the trees Couldn’t keep up and were left Tripping and falling to the ground. When I saw his little bubble body Streaking across the wasteland I couldn’t help it, I smiled. I gave her a cheap plastic bucket So she could put her tulips in some water. She beamed and told me ‘thank you’. Then unwrapped her purple flowers and Slipped them ever so gently into the Bucket turned vase, and I couldn’t help it, I smiled. As I was driving with a friend The other day, I saw a Phony stunt driver practicing His street jumping and throwing sparks Everywhere. ‘Rock the Wee!’ I said, and had to laugh. My friend Told me that I was crazy, and looked the Other way. I laughed again and pressed Down a little harder on the gas, getting us Off of the non-existent movie set that We had somehow stumbled on to. Twilight was upon us then, and with The thought of the falling darkness I Couldn’t stop myself, I smiled.
