Desert of Broken Dreams
There is no one to kiss my lips
The horizon is a desert of longing
For there is no water to feed the rose
There is no Love to make tears sing
The heat of a sun, burning away the soul
The night cools, turning a heart stone cold
The locus in silence, dance with death
Sweet stillness, nothing moves, not even the wind
A shooting star, passing overhead
Peers down, in the depth of the night
It feels the senseless void below
And passes by so fast, leaving a glow
Not even angels from above
Dare to touch
This barren heart
That drifts in the desert
Lost in time
