Notes About The Poem

Descending

Into the gape

With not but wits and weary

               I shall find your muse

Deep in the gut of Terra

Churning ... molten

          As my spirit.

With "Bard" in one's last name, what else would one expect:) I'm with John, great use of words, Greg. I, too, am quite taken with your work as well:) Nothing like mutual respect:)

Ha! Thank you, My Friend, not many people notice that, but it is the core meaning of my last name ... Really glad you enjoyed this little one, as it is a favorite of mine. I was actually in a dark place when I wrote it, but this poem turned that around, making something positive out of a negative situation, and that is, to ME, the importance of writing the darker pieces.

Amaranthine if memory serves me correct is everlasting? Greek? Wonderful succinct write, Greg!

Yes, my friend, it does indeed, and it is one of my favorite words, so I TRY to not over-use it ... "try" being the operative word here, lol. Really pleased you liked this W2!
