Phyllis, They say that the problems with the skin are usually around age 60 and it is accumulations from years of sun exposure or it could be tanning beds as well. So far we are all well in regards to the virus. Sara

My husband and I go to the dermatologist once a year for a check up, he is a great doctor, and we have been visiting him for almost 21 years now. We also go to Gastroenterologist once a year and ever 4 years he wants us to book in for a a gastroscopy and colonscopy . Both of us over 60 - you say so much in so few words but the pic also tells us alot Sara. Well penned! Hugs and blessings. Jennifer.

Jennifer, Well, the skin problems develop around age 60 so if you spent a lot of time in the sun and are fair skinned then there will be problems. The person we go see uses liquid nitrogen which burns like fire. Not any fun at all getting those places taken off. I have to go back for a biopsy in May. I don't think it is anything but he will have to do that to make sure. I had about 7 places hit with the liquid nitrogen. My husband and I are both too old now to have the colonoscopy and endoscopy. They say that the lining inside is too delicate after 75 to have those done. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Hi Sara, Your poem works well with the photo. Going to the dermatologist can be expensive and painful. But it could also save one's life. I enjoyed the read. Have a great day, and weekend:-) Alexis

Alexis, Yes, going in for a dermatological check up yearly is a good thing especially after the age of 60 when the damage to the skin starts to show up. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Judy, Thanks for the visit. It is not easy to say something with a few words sometimes but I hope everyone gets the message. Too much sun does cause skin cancer in some people so it is best to keep our exposure in check. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Not an illness to want. I cannot use soap for my dishes but must wear gloves.

Victor, It is bad to have such a sensitivity or allergy as you have but a man who does dishes is something to want. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

I am awed by the vividness of the imagery here, Sara. Positively grisly. So impactful! :) gw

Gershon, I appreciate you dropping by and taking time to comment. It is grisly if one gets cancer. Sara

Carolyn, He's nice but the medicine to undo the damage of too much sun for years isn't pain free. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

I have been a sun-loving nudist all of my life as natural sunlight is essential to good health! Dermatologists, doctors and retailers encourage you to avoid the sun because it means huge profits to them, but doing so will just makes your skin more sensitive to sunburn! Use common sense! Aloha! Rico

Just limit your exposure to early morning and/or late afternoon until your skin re-adjusts to nature. Aloha! Rico

Rico, I think a small amount of sun is good for the human being but too much is not good at all. The damage doesn't show up until years later most of the time. I am fair skin, green eyed and was very blond when I was young but a darker blond as I got older which turned back to white in old age. Very thin, sensitive now that burns in a heart beat. Thanks for the visit and it is good that you can tolerate the sun and enjoy its nice warmth and good feelings. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Regina, The problems don't show up until around 60 years of age for some and then it is several trips to the dermatologist a year. Sometimes though someone might develop problems earlier and one really needs to check their skin for changes in moles, etc. because some things can be deadly. Your visits always are uplifting. Sara
