Depths of Moon
I do not want sweet pretty poems
Of unmarked sky where fancies roam
Give me the bones of ghosts to haunt
Sweet pretty poems, I do not want
I've had enough of gilded gold
Whose pretense of value is sold
Until blunt plainness calls its bluff
Of gilded gold, I've had enough
My bent soul knows dark luscious gloom
Exotic agony which blooms
In savage tears of volcanoes
Dark luscious gloom, my bent soul knows
In want I wait for depths of moon
Alluring beyond shallow noon
Mystique only midnight creates
For depths of moon, in want I wait.
