Notes About The Poem

Depression's Cure

She__wearing a shroud of depression
Left each visitor with gloomy feelings
Which they then carried away in succession
In all their life, never having such dealings

She was withdrawn, grim, and gloomy
Born with a melancholy personality
Then her mother died leaving her life roomy
For the pit of depression to swallow her in totality

Wistful thinking could not draw her into a good mood
Nor any action the staff had performed so far
Each word she said was totally rude
Then someone came up with the bazaar

A trip to the space station could do the trick
Out where her life would come into perspective
Where she could see earth and life click
Just what was needed to be a mood corrective

All in all I must say, life has trouble
If on earth you cannot win, space has a Hubbell

Just for fun/ silly/ nonsensical

Hi Sara, This poem seems different for you but I really liked the way it unraveled. Great job.

Anne-Lise, I agree. I would not want to visit the moon or mars or any other place out in space except for Heaven in the third heaven where I plan on living someday. Thanks for the visit. Sara

I've met a few people in my life who I wished would go to the space station and stay there. As I've always said... if you intend to make a hell on Earth... please leave. Now they have somewhere to go. Wonderful poem my friend. Have a great day.

You have used the words in the most appropriate way. Depression is a tough and sad mental state which needs corrective measures. These days more and more people fall into depression. The ending is humorous !

Valsa, Yes, true depression is horrible state in which to find oneself..I can understand why there is so much depression but there is always an answer to help bring the person out and the right med or meds in combination to help the person to reach the right level of sanity. Thanks for dropping by . Sara

Sara, I thoroughly enjoyed your take on the theme of this contest! I thought it a great use of the words and the "perspective" you created with the trip to space was spot on! Good Luck and Happy Wednesday!!

Quite fancy sending a few people up to the space station. In saying that, how far in space can you actually send people to. If only, if only.

Well, Paul. Isn't it that very rich guy, Elon Musk, trying to get space trips perfected and then someone has already taken two trips out there but they are just up there and right back. If the rich and famous keep on working on it, I guess it will get perfected so anyone who has enough money can take a trip and come back, maybe? Thanks for your visit. Your comments made my day. Sara
