Depression

Sacred moments with your safe remorse, spoken softly and thrown off course. Tragedy struck the already wounded, and now your life has been concluded. Treated for illnesses made up in your head, why did I believe your lies instead? Deeply taken for granted from the world around you Eternally broken from not seeing your true value Preoccupied with mania yet can’t get out of bed Reasoning with God wishing you were dead Eclipses shined beneath your tortured soul Stomping like a baby, running out of control Succumbing to reality on your last day alive Inner demons knew you wouldn’t survive Over the last five years I’ve learned many things Never forget how you tore out my heart strings. instant desertion struck by your thundered lightning goodbye my sweet love ~Written By: Laura Loo~ ~Date Written: April 25, 2016~

I just love this style Laura just looking at it makes you like it before you even read a word! Then you read your words and it competes the greatness! 7++

It sounds like something tragic happened. I love that final haiku on it. I live with a man who takes meds for anxiety and depression. It's a difficult thing just to live with that person. but to BE that person is worse. I like how you used the three different forms for this.

thank you Andrea, you are right it is hard to live with them during such despair. But hopefully meds will help. Meds don't take it away completely, it eases it and helps the moods. thanks lady :)-luloo

Those inner demons sure do know how to mess things up. Depression is hard, loosing a life because of it to put it crude but honest, freakin' sucks with personal experiences haunting me, this poem triggers emotions, yeah we all need hugs and I'm sending a great big one k ((hug)0

Awful and tragic. Not sure re your experiences, but my poem "Dangerous Meanderings II" addresses my experience with the "other side" of this a long time ago. Be well.

I always feel your frustration, anger, and sadness with these melancholy writes. This one is especially well written in your choice of words and poetic forms. Hugs to you.
