Depression

In this life of pain and sorrow,
with each day,another tomorrow.
Do I really have to get out of bed?
When the new days morn only fills me with dread.
Why was I created?
Why was I born?
I don't laugh and smile,
I seethe and scorn.
I truly long to be carefree
but depression's got it's hooks in me.
Struggling through each day is tough,
I've had all I can take,
I've had enough.
Now, you might be thinking suicide
but it's not for me,
I have my pride.
Pride is positive,
so you see,
there is still some hope for me.

I believe you are trying - successfully - to pass on a positive message. Nobody can lead a carefree life, problems lurk round every corner, but it's up to us to be strong and look at life with hope and belief.
