Dependancy

The dawn breaks through the dark
And I sit patiently waiting for the love that’s coming my way

If none is due to me
I won’t survive the winds I will not survive today

The sun will swell my tongue
My belly will grumble for sustenance is missing

There’s not enough will
I need a strong hand to protect and guide my blind eyes

If just for a moment
A loving heart will come my way

Not pass by me like I have no right to breathe
Healthy and unhealthy oxygen to fill my lungs

If for just a moment
A heart would think better than a mind

I could survive and learn the ways of life and be
Dependent
On only me

This is a beautiful poem! I can completely relate to every line. "A heart would think better than a mind", what a thought. How much better would life be if we could do that. There is a quiet strength in this poem. It flows in the same way as sadness.
