Delirium Exchanged

Gleaning memories from a post
I like her I said or did boast
Holding something in my past
She visited me once, never last
Condensed water on the window
Keeps me hoping, looking below
Four balloons filled with helium
Doesn’t do the trick, delirium
I open my wallet, nothing’s there
My mind feels completely impaired
Surly you can come and be mine
Donuts aren’t really that kind
The lamppost outside my house
Glows quietly, nothing like a mouse
