Gleaning memories from a post I like her I said or did boast Holding something in my past She visited me once, never last Condensed water on the window Keeps me hoping, looking below Four balloons filled with helium Doesn’t do the trick, delirium I open my wallet, nothing’s there My mind feels completely impaired Surly you can come and be mine Donuts aren’t really that kind The lamppost outside my house Glows quietly, nothing like a mouse Russell Sivey
