Delight In the Buds

Delight in the buds
    popping out on the trees
  Bathe in a southerly breeze
    It's over eighty degrees

  The calendar cautions
    This is too early!
  'Don't you dare enjoy this'
    Its countenance surly ...

How long this weather may last
is not for me to say
  I just know it's Chicago
half a month before May ...

  O, perhaps it's all just a dream anyway ~
Checking the forecast, snow's due in two days

  ___________________________________________
Yesterday was 83 degrees, a record high temperature
for Chicago on April 13. Today it hit 78 degrees. To-
morrow (Saturday) it's supposed to be over 80 again...
And Sunday, possibility of snow late in the evening.

nicely said, gershon! yes, this weather is crazy but there's not much we can do about it. no chance of snow here, but i'm glad the temps in the high 80's were not here to stay...

Yes, indeed. I think that tonight the weather's going to change in Chicago... Hope so. Too warm for April (for me, anyway). Stay cozy, Gershon

Gershon, I honestly think that tween the obsession humanity has with the internet and “Climate Change Terrorists”…we get freaked out. Being your Nana and living in Chicago for forty tears, the weather has always been squirrelly at best. Besides, People kvetch over weather all the time, all over the world. Enjoy whatever is.yes, it might snow.kidding, do enjoy. Go with the flow . Pangie

Chicago hasn't changed much, actually. Less snow and not as many cold snaps.. But 85 one day and 40 the next. That still happens a lot!

The weather in South Australia is very unpredictable too, Gershon We cannot control Nature and it has made that evident of late.

Seems that God controls Nature, whereas he lets us run free... and perhaps Nature is one of the weapons in "His arsenal" to let us know whether we've been naughty or nice... ~ Just ramblin'
