Defying Time

Time was never on our side
Even when we wish for it to be
It is always beyond the control of you and me 
It is like helping to widen the divide 

Our timing never seem to be in line 
Wishing for the union not to end
Will take a miracle to mend 
But our hearts remain entwine…
