I’m weak – but He is strong
I lack the courage, but He is never wrong
I have no skills but He knows all
I am short in faith, hope and love
He has all of these and more – so I believe
I’ll follow the One who created me
The One who gave to me – the grace
I need to keep hoping, keep believing
Keep dreaming and keep achieving
The dreams who cry for me… to succeed
To give my heart and soul to Him,
The answer to my greatest needs…
The breath of light, the freedom
To be the person I yearn to be
The person who knows He brings
Joy that inspires my best, my highest
Praise, prayer – in agreement
With the One who gave my life to me
I’ll follow the One who died for me
On a cross at Calvary – the One
Who has been light to me, through it all,
During the darkness that destroys
Through the sadness, pain and doubt
The worry that shadows my thanks
The fears and tears that drive out
All of my heart’s greatest strengths
The wisdom to listen to His voice
To hear the words from His
Promises, the ones that assure my spirit
Inspire and uplift, bring me
Feelings of faith – inspiration and grace
Assurance that He is there
A light for my heart’s prayers
The hope, faith and love
That God sent down from above
I’ll forever be grateful for His gifts
His tenderness, His kiss… compassion
Brought to life in my smile, in the twinkle
Stars in my eyes – the portrayal of a love
Far greater than I can describe with mere
Words – a love that guides my thoughts,
Heals my broken heart and reminds me
I am loved more than I can even think of,
With a love that comes from the heart
That brought me hope and faith, grace
A change that silenced my doubt, stirred
Joy inside my spirit and reassured me
With peace that is like a gentling stream
Pouring over stones smoothed, curved
By the amazing hand of One who knows
Me by the whisper of my soul, the pieces
Fragments of my heart that He mended
With His kindness, His compassion, His
Eternal blessings … etched in the psalms
He rained down over my aching soul
I’ll forever love Him and be thankful
For the One who stirred my thoughts
To listen to His hope – His grace, His love
Believe in the One who is more than light…
He is redemption, assurance, blessing
He is the reason I can honestly say…
Without Him, I wouldn’t know what
It means to be filled with a spirit
Love that rings truer than anything
Love that sings a tune of promised escape
From the darkness of shame
Love that brings deliverance and healing
A reason for hope and feeling
Like He is the answer to every dream,
Each prayer – He satisfies
With His eternally generous gifts…
The LOVE that is His signature genius
The gift that brings every heart a reason
Every star its twinkle, every thought…
Its sense of devotion and adoration, love
That makes the heart tender,
The soul surrender – leaves the spirit..
In sheer splendor!
Love like this is the reason…
Even the stones and trees praise
Him, the light who stirs nature, creation
With feelings that abide
On the inside – singing of the new life
He awakens with His healing
Love like this is the reason…
I will always know, in each season
He is my King, my Savior, my God
The reason for my heart’s hope
The light that guides me home
Without Him, I’d be a gaping hole…
Longing for a soul to be made whole!
