Deconstructing Hope
We cling to it,
We worship it,
Can never quite give it up,
It is never far away from our thoughts,
And it influences many of our actions,
Sometimes we lose it,
But seldom forever,
I suspect it is with us all when we die.
So, what is Hope?
I see it as a series of words that have been melded together,
To become a beacon to help mankind steer a truer course.
I think I have decoded the message it is sending.
H for the help, we sorely need.
O for the opportunities we seek.
P for the purpose we seem to have lost.
E for equality, the meaning of which we have yet to clarify.
