Deaths Victim
I became death's victim by age two,
Daddy was gone by morning dew.
No hug of strong might,
No note did he write.
My mother heard the shot,
She prayed it was not!
Her worst fears were conveyed,
His heart was bullet blazed.
Two heart grueling did fly,
Till chance truly stopped by.
A man who would not leave at dew,
He was known by many and some few.
This man I now claim,
He has given me name.
Dad has proven death has no sting,
If we do not give its ring.
