Death's Cold Hand

Easter brings back sad memories.
My mother died on Good Friday.
She was a bible scholar and quoted
Jesus's words every day to us kids.
I remember her love for lavender,
Her operatic gentle voice singing to us.
How she loved little children with joy
And what a great grandmother she was.

A sad lovely poem, my Dad died on a good Friday too. But I am very optimistic that a time is quickly come when death will be disgraced. Great poem.

Fine Andrea. Thank you. I have to buy a new computer with Windows 10 to transfer all my files to it by the end of the year. I really dread trying to learn how to deal with a new computer. How is it now that you are back home? xxoo

Hello Connie … unfortunately for many people, festive seasons can always have sad undertones when a death has occurred at that time, which becomes a memorial time each year - thank you Connie - Lindsay

My mom almost died two years ago on my birthday but she asked God to extend her life and he did, "I told her that if she had died on my birthday it would have been an honor" , still she died in August, this year, when the flowers were in latent bloom. xo

I really believe her subconscious mind chose that day on purpose for her to depart. Thank you very much Vie. I adore Autumn and that is the time of year I would like to pass away. I am sorry for your loss. xxoo

What an honor it must have been for her to go on the day of our Christs suffering. It sounds to me that she was an exemplary Christian, who lovingly devoted her life to those she loved, and her Faith inclusive, Winning wishes Connie,xo
