Death's Cold Hand

Easter brings back sad memories. My mother died on Good Friday. She was a bible scholar and quoted Jesus's words every day to us kids. I remember her love for lavender, Her operatic gentle voice singing to us. A sad lovely poem, my Dad died on a good Friday too. But I am very optimistic that a time is quickly come when death will be disgraced. Great poem.

My mom almost died two years ago on my birthday but she asked God to extend her life and he did, "I told her that if she had died on my birthday it would have been an honor" , still she died in August, this year, when the flowers were in latent bloom. xo

Death's cold hand takes us all eventually, but some in our lives leave behind a cherished memory..I enjoyed this tribute you wrote to your mother, Connie..she had to be special to die on Good Friday. A touching memorial this is!
