Example for my Untraditional Jueju Contest

death but a door

 

the cemetery was hushed
with stained-colored leaves drifting
and praying moss drapped angels
weeping in the falling rain

I walk the winding dirt path
past old graves with worn markers
the names invisible now
and have fallen into ruin 

I stop at many well loved
with flowers and tokens left
yes, the love is still alive
proving death is but a door

then, our grave, my place of tears
my baby and sister dust
and the bones of mom and dad
decay .... to my knees sobbing
