Dear Lord, I love you and know that you know The thoughts that I think and the hopes from my heart You know about my sins and all the pain I’ve been in You know when I’ve failed and when I’ve been a success You whisper your enlightenment into my yearning soul Let me know that I’m someone who you love and guide A heart that you’ve given a portion of your Holy Spirit! Dear Lord, I wish I had the words to tell you how I feel The ways you’ve brought me through the storms, given Me second chances and shown me the way to renewal The ways you’ve helped me to grow and healed me from The worst that I’ve known --- the pain, grief and disdain That came from times when I wasn’t sure I would make it Into the morning light where You would make things right! Dear Lord, I can’t give back to You the many joys you’ve Brought to me, the ways you’ve taught me to give back To a world that doesn’t always count it’s blessings through The worries and strife that bring it down from the place Where You reveal the truth that it is so very blessed by Your Presence, Your truth, Your gentle, honest pursuit Of the soul who is lost and needs You to fill them with love! Dear Lord, I know You could let me go on living the wrong way But, thankfully, You always send to me a conscience awakening To remind me that I need to let go of the offence and discover The virtue that lives inside, thanks to Your spirit, Your light The answer to my fears and misguided crimes against Your Son, who came down to this dark earth to give us a light inside That would guide us through the worst that might transpire! Dear Lord, I hope that my faith is alive with a passionate fire That captures your kind ear when I pray and do not fear The answer which might be no, but could be yes or perhaps, At another time, when You deem the time is right and good For blessing me with an answer that leads me to give thanks For all that You’ve done for me, all that You’ve been, all that Love and joy You’ve allowed me to know, in spite of my failings! Dear Lord, even though I know I’m not worthy --- You’ve given Me so much, so many blessings and gifts, so much love that lifts My spirit and sends me to a place of serenity and joy, fulfillment Which whispers to my spirit of inspirations that will always be Alive and thriving on the inside where I can feel You breathing Into my soul, hope, faith and love that come from the One who Knows me better than I know myself and gives me love unconditional! Dear Lord, hues of heavenly grace fill up my life with gentle desire For more of You, more of Your wisdom, Your faith, Your love, everything That gives me the opportunity to know true peace, true intimacy With You, the One who holds the world in His hands, and gives each one The chance to know Him and feel the gentle tugging of spiritual warmth Which abides with those who have His spirit living on the inside where God will guide them through every struggle, on to a heavenly home! Dear Lord, You are my everything, my hope, my thoughts, my life and love The song that brings joy from the note played by One who goes before me Laying out a path of enlightenment and insight, leading me away from fights With wickedness and nasty destructions that hope to harm me with its ferocity Which is never as powerful as the One who brings down peace from above And lights the way with a brilliant glow which comes to us from the One who knows We will never be satisfied with anything less than His Spirit living within our souls!

- There is wisdom and truth in your heart, dear friend ... - Believing in God is a decision we ourselves have to take - This is the choice that gives us a new life - No one else can make this choice for us - This prayer is a reflection of your heart, Gina :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

This poem is worthy to be called a Psalm. May the Lord God keep us in His warm embrace. ~~
