Dear Beloved

Here we are, my dear beloved, another fight on our tongues. Let us lash and claw and tire. Here I stand, my dear beloved, for what I believe is true; is me. Don’t you try to tear me down. Here you sit, my dear beloved, wrung out and soaked in sorrow. May you weep into your hands. Here we lay, my dear beloved, back to back, wide awake, hoping for clear minds. Here I leave, my dear beloved, bags packed, eyes wet. Please wake in relief. There you rise, my dear beloved, eyes red and raw and wanting. I wish your heart no longer feels heavy. Oh, my dear beloved, I will miss you.
