Deafened Art

you can't break what's already broken nor forsake what's been forsaken

every love song is a ghost story ~ when velvet skies dimmed our glory

no one really comprehends ~ how deep into the core it descends

cloaked with invincible clouds , afraid to let tear-stained ink pour and set

silenced tongues sing in solitude ~ knitting metaphors misunderstood

hushed voices echo amidst smoky lungs ~ tainted through deafened art

Hello Empress. Hi. Format aside this is marvelous poetry with excellent execution. I read your words twice to soak your skill in. You allow the reader to pause. This is an entry to be read out loud slowly with emphasis and feeling. Read back your own words and you will see. It was a privilege turning to your page and entry. Have a wonderful afternoon and weekend. Peace and Blessings always. (smile) PS - For those who do not read what a dark world they must be living in...

Sigh, this expression of deafened art truly tugged at my heartstrings and I can feel those poignant tones deep within my soul.. We can't break what's already broken, such a melancholic feeling it is, of being drenched in gloom..When love is nothing but a ghost story when it was expected to shine with glory! Ahh, those silenced tongues now spin metaphors as pain descends in the heart's cores. I can truly resonate with this gloominess that you've so profoundly infused in your stunning poetic words

Dear Empress, I'm impressed with your clever and creative skill in conveying such profound, emotional, artistic poetry in this strand of monoku. Every verse a lustrous gem of deep imagery and rich metaphor that becomes more intense with every read. I love how I descended through the layers of your exceptional poem as I lingered within the passion of your exquisite verse. Your poetic soul and talent outshines the sun, my friend. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Got to add this one to my FAVs list. Excellent Monku string poetry, my friend. I like the metaphors and the message of the whole poem. I read it several times then read it starting after (STORY~) to the next (~), then to the (,) then to the (~), then to the next (~). It's good however I read it. Oops, I'm messing it up for you. LOL my bad! I really like it. Bill

Dear Ink, I just had to tell you how impressed I am by your amazing knowledge presented in such an interesting form. The craftsmanship and complexity of the weaving are breathtaking. The first sentence, " You can't break what's already broken nor forsake what's been forsaken" contains a mind-blowing amount of emotional weight. The whole composition benefits from your well-rendered depiction of a gloomy sky and smokey lungs.

you can't break what's already broken nor forsake what's been forsaken--a meaning weaving of words that begins with a powerful missive and continues through every line of your Monoku, my friend. --cloaked with invincible clouds , afraid to let tear-stained ink pour and set --silenced tongues sing in solitude --simply superb and a FAVE!
