Dead & living

"Why this world
Loves the dead
more than the living?"
I really don't know
the answer
to this puzzle.
When I was living with my
people, I struggled a lot.
The daily practice in my life --
Longing for a meal,
Begging for my living,
But no one cared for me.
I was ignored by everyone .
They turned their faces
when I appeared in front of them.
I always walked away
with great pain, hunger and sadness.
I was shocked when
I watched my funeral from above.
All my family members were there,
Grand funeral I would say,
Some shed tears as well !!!
It was a family get together,
Soon after the funeral service,
they all enjoyed a great meal.
It would have been really great
if only a meal was offered to me,
when I was standing in front
of their gate, with hunger
Are they happy that I won't
bother them anymore
or trying to show others
that they truly cared for me.
Why people do this?
May be to earn publicity.
or to be in the good books
of their associates.
Why not take care of the needy,
when they are alive.
Learn to love the living
They need your help.
Dead are in a better place.
