Dawn of a New Day
Languidly, opening my brown eyes,to see you,
in my arms,so charmingly and blissfully asleep.
Forgive me,but I ran my fingers across your nose,
eyelids and lips and through your hair.
So tempted was I to see all the rest of you.
Sleeping so soundly and innocently bare!
But I chose to relive our very first and dear meeting,
in my flowing fields of amaranth memory.
The decades have whisked away some of that godly,
curly,Arcadian hair of yesterday.
And strangely,I love you all the more!
I still lay here,utterly entranced!
By your angelic,Mount Olympus-blessed,countenance!
All my love,
Panagiota
