Dawn

There was truth. As I watched you there. In the comfort of strangers. Except they were not strangers. Like a dream within a dream. You felt yourself sinking within the fire. One life of many, you played in all life. Do you even have a soul to be saved? I watch you dance around the fire. I see your skirt has caught fire. As you swim among the angels light. I see some truth within your light. Though you live beyond the edge of night. Waiting there for your prince to come. Dancing on the edge of time. Dancing closer to the fire. Giants of old have come crashing down. The end is coming soon, hear the trumpets sound. Waiting for the dawn to come back around. Wed 9am 8/ 28/ 2013

I was captivated by the mystical quality in this. Seems to be an eerie sense of conflict within the self in this one. How will we be judged in the final hour?

Also the top of your head is red--kind of like the sun coming up after an all night party to light things up. You are sunshine! I had to say it.

Debbie, you definitely have a style all your own. It's very enjoyable to read and let the words create an image in my mind. On its face, this is about the end of night. And this happens over and over. I have never thought of anything quite like this and it is a charming insight into the way you view the world. It is complex and mystifying I do admit. You have something very special. Thank-you for all your comments. It means a lot to me.

Hi Debbie; I like your poem. It reminds me of something I saw on the news the other night. Somewhere I think was in Peru that people are hearing some strange sounds - like trumpets are being played and we could hear them, but no one know where the sound is coming from. They think it could be the Angels already playing the trumpets. thanks for sharing... Lucilla
