Dark Brown Lights
Outside
City lights gleam
through the winter air
Cars rush by
The river flows on
Inside the city
the beat
of a million hearts
continues
the melody of the metropolis
is something
which we all
dream of
let the bare bones
of winter
occupy our asphalt homeland
We'll soon see another
light
as it cuts through the
frigid air
Before you head to dreamland
Write your story down
let everyone know
that you, too
live in this homeland
joined at the hip
we urban dwellers
depend on one another
Without cooperation
the music will die
