Living under a Rock, by Suzette Richards - image generated.

Poetic form: Zettie's Sonnet. For more details regarding this form, please see my article, Introducing Three New Sonnet Forms, here on PS. Also, a 'Summary of Metres' is depicted.

This might very well come as a shock: Life is not fair, and many don’t care. Persist on living under a rock.   Some cringe-worthy experiences tend to pester if left to fester. Adhere to law of invariance. We elect to look the other way. Challenged with facts and religious tracts, while the zealots persistently bray. Turn that rock over for scrutiny, brought into light as a thing of fright. Declare your very own mutiny.   Set prejudices aside; take honest stock. Take a stand against ignorance, if you dare!
