Dancing On the Debt Ceiling
heard ENOUGH about the debt ceiling yet?
have you been beaten over the head with
FEAR
as a citizen of this american empire that
spreads both its hands (a baton in each)
to pummel all those on this planet
(with the exception of china who holds our purse strings)
into submission
squeezing the natural resources from every country
that has them
so that they all flow within our borders
& yet
we still have no universal healthcare
we still have 14.1 million people out of work
we still have teachers being laid off & educational programs being
cut
we still have state governments continuing to crush unions
we still have “400 obscenely wealthy individuals who have more cash, stock and property
than the assets of 155 million americans combined"
etc.
now,
while the average american sits home & listens to the buzz phrase
every hour on the hour
trembling as to whether they will get their social security checks, veteran’s checks &
disability checks
on august 3rd
the day after “the government goes into default” because “there may simply not be the
money in the coffers to do it,”
mr. obama
has raised $86 million dollars of his overall goal of exceeding $750 million
that his campaign raised in 2008
mitty r. pulled in $18 million in the past three months
while the doorknob dubbed “the most boring man in the united states” by many,
timmy p. was somehow able to get $4.2 million from some of the dumbest americans in the US---
add that to how much money we are spending daily to
bury
our
head
in the
sand
in afghanistan, iraq & libya,
then throw in billions we give israel every year in economic aid from the foreign aid
budget & loan guarentees,
as well as the billion that pakistan gets every year so that we can keep supplying the
war in afghanistan,
etc.
etc.
etc.
apparently keeping our absurdly overblown & drawn out election race, all of our wars
going & money given to countries that exist outside our borders
is more important than the welfare of our population here at
home
(with the exception of 400 fortunate elites)---
so get some popcorn
& practice your best dance moves
when you turn on the television to watch our president &
all the dirty bloody hands that run our country
dance on the ceiling---
you can even turn on lionel richie & sing along
throwing in the word “debt” when appropriate---
together,
we can watch this place
wither &
die.
