Dance Like a Crab
Slept on a bed of mermaid tears.
Dreamt in mother of pearl and aquamarine.
In a jaded whirlpool of crystal rainbows
I grew fins and gills made of stained glass.
I swam for a million years without any rest.
Neptune's choir rang ocean bells.
while infinity just turned back the clock, then laughed.
...I sinned with a sticky-petrified smile.
Demonstrated miracles with a grimace.
In the end the soul filling with sand.
Piper songs retreated from swollen lips.
Doesn't a dying heart dance like a crab?
