DAILY GRATITUDE TRY ANOTHER WAY

From a time when I was young…
until today…when I am old
I am grateful I ever came across
the teaching of Marc Gold.

When I first entered the classroom as a teacher…
his ideas were on full display…
He taught if my students weren’t learning the way I was teaching…
I should Try Another Way.

His simple message…that in my mind he would implant
helped me to see my students for what they can do…
instead of what they can’t.

It’s a philosophy I hope people will use today…in life
It is still a beautiful thought…
to see people for who they are…
not for who they are not.

And when it comes to prejudice and hatred and war…
prevalent in our societies today…
Instead of doing what isn’t working…
Perhaps it’s time to try another way.

A wise man he was….seeing the positives and possibilities rather than the negatives. We need to open our hearts to trying another way or other ways in life. Your poem Jim as always is full of wisdom, positivity and loveliness written from a kind heart! Sorry it so belated ( Im not around much nowadays) but the biggest Congratulations on POTD for a poem and poet so worthy of the accolade! Debx

Hello Jim, Congrats on POTD, which reads like someone looking back on a lesson that never stopped working. The way you carry Marc Gold’s idea forward, seeing people for what they can do—simple and radical. Human and not preachy. Blessings, Daniel

These thoughts hold beauty and truth, ' help me see what people can do, while also seeing them for who they are. ' Very uplifting, indeed. I can see why the words of ' Marc Gold ' stayed with you. They caress gently around me. Congratulations Jim, on Poem of the Day. : ) Hugs, Brandy
