Cyber-Heartbreak
I wonder...
If climbing Love's
rope to the moon,
On a fall's day,
When it shines at noon...
Could be of help to me.
I'd ask him to please impart,
A way to heal my cratered heart,
As a bevy of words
encircle my head...
My soul a half-step
above the dead...
I've downloaded heartbreak
too many times...
To the ruin of my spam filter
of lies
All clogged up, no more room...
I've got a basket full of
lover's gloom...
I should write a book...
"Love For Dummies"
Maybe that, my soul would please...
Instead of the lies
played back in endless loop,
In my downtrodden mind..
I would never believe
you could be so unkind...
Yes, this Bell,
Is but a shell,
Worn down to
the stump,
By a life of love
gone to hell
They say what
goes around,
Comes around...
Bullpickles!!!
That only applies
to astronauts
circling the moon,
Not trashed-on
lovers who sleep
past noon,
Merely because
they feel no need
for getting up,
After one too many
meals, of despair's
sup.
So I open my document file,
And you're filed away,
But just in the recycle bin,
Cause you know
what they say...
You never know
what can happen
another day.
