Curiosity Killed the Sketch

A pen travels across paper; a line appears to follow. Curiously growing eyes; anxiously follow its path. Muscles and tendons taught; cat leaps and the sketch is gone.

I could see it, including the little butt-wiggle they do a millisecond before attacking the pen.

I do love those little butt-wiggles. I don't like big ink scratches across my drawing though. It does seem to intrigue cats though. Glad you stopped by.

This is perfect! Omg! Nerves and self doubt have caused much suffering for my photography! So great! Thank you for sharing!

Brilliant, ML. I have found that it is extremely difficult to photograph cats - sketching them !! LOL they don't make the most patient models. I love your poem.

You have to take lots of photos to sketch from; the don't sit still too often unless they're watching something. Sadly if they're watching me write or sketch; they like to pounce on those fresh lines. Sometimes I draw with ink and...oops! Thanks
