Curiosity

Curiosity is a path that leads many ways; An expedition full of a gazillion crossroads. While it may be good that one treads its path, Yet not without the utmost care and caution. For knowledge is a deal with the unknown: An exchange of values and perceptions— A great number of which does no one good Than the transition of bad into the worst. Board the train into the night if you wish, But be wary of being lost in its darkness; Even a mad mind always thinks is on point While it is yet at its farthest from reality. Not every pursuit makes a true difference; Behold, not every glittering is of a pure gold. Not every appearance of the ideal is truth; Else, every knowledge would perfectly edify. Who is he that has the longest spoon That should not fear the devil's banquet?— Not even his best friend however dumb, Lest he feeds himself with deadly poisons! Place no trust in all cravings of the heart, Neither any confidence in life's vanities; Shun not the truth you do not understand— Someday when you do, you'd be free at last.
