Another Valentine’s Day alone Singing old songs writing new poems But throwing my heart in the hat For Cupid to shoot red arrow at I’m not sad rather I anticipate I’m baking new love like white wedding cake And my heart dances in my brown chest Not love yet but hey it’s the best Not a fairytale but a reality show Full of life insights and an Afro I’m an introvert so alone is ok I feel like I’m not going to always be that way Sort of my choice to not be on a date I guess I like the dude in L. A. So I will be patient with him and me Let Cupid arrange our destiny

This was the start of my valentines day. And it was sweet. If I was there my arms would be around you. for they are lonesome also. But this poem touched me, it was artful and caught my attention. And it welcomed feelings.
