Crystal Waters

"crystal waters"
so is the night that brings cool air
so is the night that brings crystal waters
looking through windowpanes beauty is found
high above nestled within trees owls stand guard
guarding life and crystal waters around
shadows of grey and blue show their reflections
glorious is the world of night existence
the cool air gently travels with winds
while in this moment and time life breathes
all of this and more while the moon shines her light
a light everlasting to all who see
so is the wonder that brings such grace
so is the wonder that brings crystal waters

I adore this write, Lisa! Great imagery too! We don't get many owls around this part of the world, but we get a few now and then! Mostly Tawny owls! Enjoy your day/night!

Top of the Afternoon Maria. Thank you once again. Honestly. To me there is no place on earth like the ocean. I grew up spending summers by the water. Days and times I will never forget along with never forgetting the wonder and beauty of the ocean. In a million entries I could never capture her essence. One just has to see in person. Have a wonderful afternoon or evening.

"so is the wonder that brings crystal waters" - wow what a great line. Seems a simple thing, Lisa, but I can't figure out why it hits me so. There is the beauty and experience you speak of - perhaps I take it for granted, all too often, as with the crystal waters.

Dear Doug. Good Morning. I declare this day the day of Doug Vinson. And how fitting it is that I end my responses to all your wonderful reviews with this entry. It makes me cry because your words truly touch my heart. Saying Thank You I know is small and perhaps meaningless but from my heart Thank You. Especially this review. I love the ocean and could write entry upon entry. However, I could never capture her essence and being. One has to see her to know. I grew up with spending summers by the water. So is the wonder that is you my friend for writing such smooth-scented lines that breathe of the dust of stars. Frankly, Lisa, your poetry could revive a dying man. There is a great scene in a 1973 movie called Soylent Green, with a dazzling visual montage of forests, rivers, and ocean life that your words brought to mind. 7 of course mon amie:)

To look out the window seeing such beauty, such serenity. A peaceful quiet night as nature blooms beneath a glowing moon. I can see this my friend because your words allow me too.

The first and last stanza so wonderfully are congruent, and I love that so very much. This poem is one of serene beauty. I love the night, starry skies, and water with its rippling sounds. It brings out the best in us. I love your timeless moment here, where everything is in peace and at rest...

Morning Darren. Yes it does. I too like the night skies. One particular night my friend and I were locked in the parking lot at the beach so we had to stay til morning. It was the best time of my life. The ocean was just gorgeous in every way. Thank you for seeing this one Darren. Have a great day.
