Cryptic Christmas Carol

'Twas the night before death...: All sleeping...who will breathe their final breath? Cryptic creatures climb throughout the homes searching for souls that shall seep away from their bones. Music, lights and decorations dissipate with forest frost. Will the deceased speak of afterlife's criss-cross?' Families and friends awake or asleep in the chambers? Within their embodiments to expire as embers. The grim reaper flows, glows and strolls to the very soul... His life is lonely and cold...i come cautiously with woe. "Not tonight..."I speak with sadness trying to be serene. Wondrous winds whips around death flashing with keen. Full moon designer snowflakes scintillate around his wide smile. Souls slip around moonlight as silky shadows for quite awhile. "The spirit has not..." I sigh reaching for any word as I longingly say. Death's ruby halo resonates with regal light he sirens his way. Gullping and percolating with sad sweat I now remain silent. I become bemused by beautiful candlelight in his bedroom. Death steams to full force of fierceness with doom. He slices all blazing flames and explodes as a conflagration. Wildfires consume every room as the living transformation. I mist into steam guiding the fresh sweet departed progressing. We are now gossamer beings gushing with gem blessings. He glances at me asking, "Whose wings will wrap around me?" Flames dance as golden hearts as his soulmate sees... "I am your beloved ethereal half where I watched for you." Together they blaze as a flaming flower forever true. November 26th 2019

Golly, very creative and imaginative….. Chantelle. When was the thing that I like about your poetry is that I can tell a lot of time and writing it and you don’t just try to slap a few words on the paper to get by.. are able to do .. Not All of us, have the ability, Chantelle I certainly don’t. But must have our own way of self expression.. you are a master of words and put them together in the spiritual way. Another fav. pangie. We.
