Cruise Control

It's like my life is set on cruise control
Push the button and watch it go
Trying my best to keep a steady flow
In this traffic pattern of do's and don'ts

In my quest to stay ahead
A blur at times of who I am
Moving lane to lane then back again
Trying to avoid the latest traffic jam

By now I know my tank is low
Holding my breath in hope
Not sure how much further I can go
In this life set on cruise control

Cheers, Mike. I usually floor it, but then of course there is the problem of running out of fuel. And getting old.

Cruise control is good, Mike. That means no obstacles. Fun read:)

Hmmm, might I suggest taking pause, getting out of the car, taking off your shoes, and spreading your toes in the grass, or at least closing your eyes and dreaming it ;) A great write, I hope the ride improves. xomo
