Crucifixion of Mani the Prophet

You gleamed brighter than glorious sunlight As you travelled on the bright moonlight You gleamed as the bright buddha of light As you showed the dharma to our sight You gleamed as one who reached nirvana As you have overcome Samsara Monday at the eleventh hour You finished your long and hard labour Through having your head hang on a gate You brought keys for the gate of the great Through Ahura Mazda’s cunning will You brought much shame on Ahriman’s skill Through the brutal decapitation You brought daevas to deterioration Monday at the eleventh hour You finished your long and hard labour The man whose head was brutally sliced You completed the will of Christ The man whose body was crucified You completed what was prophesised The holy paraclete who was called You completed the gospel that was showed Monday at the eleventh hour You finished your long and hard labour By being sentenced to the prison You attained pleasant freedom By being fettered by cold iron You revealed pleasant wisdom By being risen high on a pole You made the church rise above shoel By being divided into two You divided the light from the dark
