Crossroads Is Like a Journey

Have you ever thought about Where you are going Why things have seasons, I have. Every day of my life I think about the mistakes, I have made The people I have hurt The time I have wasted. At this very crossroad Just for a brief moment I stop shed a tear gave a sigh Pondered for a while Asking myself why. Was I so blind couldn’t I see the signs Was I so deaf couldn’t I hear The echoes within the storm. Here I am at the crossroad Thinking about how stubborn I was Drawing back my breath Reflecting on my pass I came to realise that ‘Crisis’ was a friend. Now drawing back your breath Deep in your thoughts Trying to make sense of it all Chuckle if you must But please read some more. Get to the end and you will see That this poem is not at all a bore In my travels, I have discovered That crisis is not and enemy but a friend Without crisis, you and I will not be hopeful. And our life experiences will be unchangeable Ah got you thinking for a while Yes, this six-letter word now has your attention Think deep search hard I am sure You will now discover that ‘Crisis’ is not an enemy but a friend.

Often it's through tragedy that we stop taking for granted the blessings in our lives. Very insightful verses, Patricia.

Well done Patricia; great thing about the word 'crisis' ~ in Japanese it is represented by two symbols, danger and opportunity.
